Fun Facts About Dundee Oregon

Dundee is named after William Reid from Dundee, Scotland. Reid made his way to Oregon in the late 1800's and helped establish the Oregonian Railway. The first post office was called "Dundee Junction" because there were plans to build a bridge across the Willamette River for railroad access. The bridge was never built and "Junction" was dropped from the name, which became Dundee, OR in 1897.
